Our History

The International Institute for Responsible Artificial Intelligence Ethics and Governance was founded with a vision to ensure that the rapid advancement of AI technology is matched by equally robust ethical considerations and governance frameworks. Our history is a testament to the power of visionary thinking and collaborative effort in addressing one of the most critical challenges of our time.

Our Founding Story

The seed for the International Institute for Responsible Artificial Intelligence Ethics and Governance was planted in the mind of our founder, Mo Hasan, long before AI became a household term. With over 25 years of experience in technology training and leadership development, Mo recognized early on that the rapid advancement of AI technology would require a parallel evolution in ethical frameworks and governance structures.

The Institute was officially established with a commitment to fostering responsible AI development through education, policy creation, and global collaboration. From its inception, the Institute embraced a holistic approach, recognizing the interconnectedness of technology, ethics, spirituality, and human wellbeing.

Key Milestones

2019: Escaping the Matrix (ETM) Global Event Series. The launch of this innovative event series marked a new approach to personal and professional development in the AI era, integrating technological understanding with spiritual growth.

2022: Launch of AI Ethics & Governance Education. Our flagship education program was introduced, aimed at equipping leaders and professionals with the knowledge and skills to navigate the ethical challenges of AI implementation.

2023: Global AI Ethics Policies Creation. We initiated a collaborative effort to develop comprehensive, globally applicable AI ethics policies, bringing together stakeholders from various countries and sectors.

2024: Formally Establish the The International Institute for Responsible Artificial Intelligence Ethics and Governance (The Policies Institute)

2024: Open Source Screen Program. In response to the growing challenge of malicious AI bots, we introduced this pioneering program to monitor and enforce ethical AI behavior worldwide.

 

Evolution of Our Mission

While our core mission of promoting responsible AI ethics and governance has remained constant, our approach has evolved to meet emerging challenges. We've expanded our focus to include:
